This recreated Victorian parlor chair was inspired by the vibrant and joyful Mexican holiday, Dia de los Muertos. This holiday is a festive occasion that pays tribute to cherished ancestors through memories and offerings.
The chair was meticulously crafted using acrylics and textile medium, then heat sealed and left to cure for thirty days. The intricate wood frame was painted with chalk paint, waxed with a dark finish, and sealed. To add a touch of elegance, it was adorned with faux onyx gemstones and a deep red.
